1 Samuel 17:29
David was a valiant and brave warrior. He took on the lion, the bear and now he was about to take on the giant goliath.
After forty days of battle Jesse, David’s father ask him to bring supplies down to the battle lines 1 Sam. 17:17
When David got down to the battle and saw what was happening, that Goliath was challenging Israel and that everyone was scared he said “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God.”
My question to you is what is your cause?
David said, is there not a cause? No one was willing to stand up against the giant, they were afraid. But David said is there not a cause?
The people of Israel “The Church” were being challenged by the enemy but no one was willing to stand up for God.
What is your cause? Are you willing to stand for righteousness in the midst of all this darkness?
God ask Ezekiel the same question but in a different way Ezek. 22:29-31.
I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.
Jesus is looking for men and women who will be willing to stand in the gap for the lost!
Ephesians 6: 10-18, The MESSAGE
10 And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. 11 So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. 12 This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.
13 Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over you'll still be on your feet. 14 Truth, righteousness, 15 peace, 16 faith, 17 and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon. 18 In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.
It’s time for the Church to awake and be alert. Many of us are asleep at the wheel!
Isaiah 52:1
Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
1 Corinthians 15:34
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God.
Ephesians 5:14
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light
Dear friends, you may have fallen short of the glory of God.
REPENT! Get up, dust yourself off and get back in the battle!!
Satan uses fear, intimidation and condemnation to keep you from fulfilling your cause.
He does not want you to stay in the fight. He wants to render you useless to the kingdom of God. He wants you to withdraw and retreat back to your old ways. You are a threat to his kingdom. If you weren't you would not be under attack.
Ever wonder why some people seem to be in la la land. That is because they are in sin or they are not engaged in the battle, but in your life it seems like all hell has broken loose. You have been praying, fasting, sharing your faith, going to the prisons, reaching the drug addicts, reaching your Family, children, co workers and youth for Christ.
YOU are a THREAT TO his KINGDOM!!!
Do not give up. Do not retreat, Do not disengage. Fight the good fight. JESUS IS WITH YOU!!! - The devil is already defeated.
Again I ask "WHAT IS YOUR CAUSE"?
